In the project Open Innovation for Industry we wanted to identify an agile and flexible method framework to support innovation collaboration between large organisations/companies and small startups/innovators.

Långsiktiga effekter som förväntas

The developed Innovation Essentials enables the innovation collaboration partners to set up the relationship in a clear way, establish ownership of IP in an early stage and also improve the collaboration maturity within and in between the partners during the project. Innovation Essentials provides high-level support of 8 practices including alphas, activities, work products and patterns that facilitates a successful collaboration. It´s based on an OMG standard called Essence. The projects can configure their usage, guidance is included and it enables continuous health checks.

Upplägg och genomförande

In the project we used the eight identified innovation collaboration projects containing one large company and a startup - four during Q3-Q4 2017 and four during Q1-Q2 2018. Together with the first four projects we developed the process and with the four last projects we tested and developed it further.
