Syfte och mål

We started with an Internalization strategy, looked into India as the next market and hired a specialist for focused R&D. We determined the needs, and a Content Strategy to develop suitable trainings and formats for them. We made a Pilot Selection of H&M, brands linked to Solidaridad & ETI, and suppliers like Shahi Exports and decided to start with our existing Pricing Model. We also consulted local experts on IPR laws and did a SWOT for Risk Assessment, leading to our Draft business plan.

Resultat och förväntade effekter

We believe that a quick scaling in India is possible, as, the more production markets we have solutions for, the bigger the percentage of a brand’s global supply chain we can cover. Many brands we already collaborate with have shown keen interest in our expansion into India, and we believe that we can reach at least 60K workers in over 100 factories in the 1st year of implementation, post pilot. A possible goal for year 2 is another 300 factories. And with year 3, we would aim to reach 1000.

Upplägg och genomförande

Working iteratively using human centered design, with the end users in focus helps us ensure scalability in our designs and solutions. Further, we think we can draw a lot from our trainings for Bangladesh, built with considerations like the lack of literacy, that are similar to India. We also think that our China training on Involuntary Work and the base-line and follow-up tools, could have a lot of opportunity and also help us deliver and measure impact as we start developing in local languages.
