Syfte och mål
This is a project to evaluate the performance of plate heat exchangers (PHEs) using the MicroDeltaT (MDT)surface enhancement technology in real industrial operation environment. A demo PHE represents one final product group where performance can be improved using MDTs technology anddemonstrator tests are considered the best way to convince potential customers of the improvements.
Resultat och förväntade effekter
The demonstrator has been constructed/assembled using MDT technology. The test results have confimed the excellent boiling performance of MDT surfaces. We have also noticed good mechanical stability of the surface structures on the plates after being used in the demo unit for 60 hours. The demonstrators can be used later on for attracting new customers.
Upplägg och genomförande
The demonstrator has been constructed/assembled using MDT technology. We have tested the demo with only one of the 2 plates treated with MDT technology, as well as with both plates treated with MDT technology. We have also evaluated the mechanical stability of the surface structures on the plates after being used in the demonstratorunit for 60 hours.
