Syfte och mål

We want to develop material, from a field-study of incubation that we found in a SonyMobile study, into a model. Using our previous knowledge from having studied several incubators, corporate entrepreneurship and start-up processes, we want to see whether this can be a new form for organising and leading innovation in a collaborative context between larger companies and the entrepreneurship ecosystem where they are based. The question is whether this is a better way to innovate for large companies, as well as a better way to support start-ups for the public support system?

Förväntade effekter och resultat

At the end of this development project, we should have written material that communicates our learnings to an executive audience (training cases and inspirational paper); we should have developed decision-making tools to be used in composing an incubator-team; we should have developed templates for designing the innovation-support process (in its incubation-based form); and we should have developed an innovation-leadership philosophy (presentation material) used to inspire innovation leadership to try this new model for innovation process support.

Planerat upplägg och genomförande

The project includes participants from studied organisations (most recent SonyMobile, Lund), innovation manager, entrepreneurship eco-system players, incubator management people, and researcher. The recent study of SonyMobile is analysed (together with innovation manager) in perspective of previous incubator-studies, corporate innovation studies, and studies of entrepreneurship in large/mature organisations. Results of analysis is tested on practitioners from relevant stakeholders. On this basis, pedagogical material is developed. For presentation and teaching.
