Syfte och mål

The overall goal for the project was "gap analysis regarding current status and what is needed to set up an "Optimal National Dataset" for Hepatits B plus finalizing organisation and project team for "Steg 2". This has been fulfilled, The Vinnova financed project has enabled us to create a blueprint on how the future "Horizon scanning" of new, potentially costly, drugs could be performed. It has also given us opportunity to form a strong team, made up of both authorities and Swedish and international companies, that is ready to take the theoretical findings to the next step.

Resultat och förväntade effekter

The main result of the project is that we now have a blueprint both for a general approach for "Real Horizon Scanning" and for a specific approach to solving the challenges around the coming Hepatitis B treatments.

Upplägg och genomförande

The project has been led by a steering committee with staff from Health Solutions ,Karolinska, TLV and LIF. An operative team consisting of members from Health Solutions and the Hepatitis registry steering committee has perform the practical work i, assisted by operative staff from the associate parties AlgoDx, Guardtime, Karolinska, TLV and LIF. The full team has met in "Forums" four times during the project. All processes have been documented with the intention to make the process as reusable as possible, to make it easy to evaluate other diagnoses / future therapies.
