Call Challenge-Driven Innovation stage 1 initiation – 2019

Purpose and goal

The overall goal for the project was "gap analysis regarding current status and what is needed to set up an "Optimal National Dataset" for Hepatits B plus finalizing organisation and project team for "Steg 2". This has been fulfilled, The Vinnova financed project has enabled us to create a blueprint on how the future "Horizon scanning" of new, potentially costly, drugs could be performed. It has also given us opportunity to form a strong team, made up of both authorities and Swedish and international companies, that is ready to take the theoretical findings to the next step..

Expected results and effects

The main result of the project is that we now have a blueprint both for a general approach for "Real Horizon Scanning" and for a specific approach to solving the challenges around the coming Hepatitis B treatments.
