What do you work with today and what does your role mean?
- An important part of my work is a new EU partnership on raw materials such as metals and minerals. This is a major international initiative that Vinnova will coordinate over the next decade. We collaborate with actors from many countries, which allows me to further develop my international network. The work ranges from providing input to the European Commission to participating in municipalityikations‑ and engagement activities. At the same time, I am country manager for Brazil and work to promote and deepen the long-standing researchs and innovation cooperation between Sweden and Brazil.
What attracted you to Vinnova?
- The role provides an opportunity to broaden my knowledge and at the same time use my international experiencedepartment from several different areas. The service's focus on metals and minerals also gave me the opportunity to return to earth science after many years working in the climate and environmental field.
If you could give advice to someone starting at Vinnova, what would it be?
- Do not hesitate to ask your boss or your colleagues for help, employees at Vinnova are skilled and helpful. The job provides the opportunity for teleworking and wellness hours while quickly gaining a broader understanding of how innovation project is developed and implemented.
What are you most looking forward to in your role in the future?
- The EU partnership in raw materials is starting to take off, and it will be exciting to contribute to its development. Sustainable use and secure supply of raw materials are important issues, both for Sweden and globally.
