Viktiga resultat som projektet gav
We established a new method for isoprostanes and its related metabolites, validated it in a murine model and applied it for two population studies. Moreover, such method is planning to develop into a related product for assessing the inflammatory status in physical examination for health/subhealth population.
Långsiktiga effekter som förväntas
The outcome of this project is 1) developed a robust method for detection of isoprostane and its related biomarkers of inflammatory conditions at an early stage and finalized a SOP for high throughput measurement; 2) validated and applied this method to animal model and human pilot studies; 3) adapted such method to a product that monitor inflammatory status based on such targeted functional metabolites in health population.
Upplägg och genomförande
This project was a follow-up on previous planning grant that all collaborators from three parties have already discussed the feasibility and defined the subsidiary goals. The implementation of this project was carried out according to half/half workload in Sweden and China in the past 2.5 years. Even the project changed slightly revised due to the pregnancy of the project leader in the last six months, but the progress keep the same after coordinated with the each party. We finalized the SOP for high throughout measurement that might benefit for Swedish and Chinese markets.
