|Koordinator||Umeå universitet - Kemiska Institutionen|
|Bidrag från Vinnova||2 372 000 kronor|
|Projektets löptid||januari 2016 - juni 2018|
Syfte och mål
The purpose of the project is to establish a new protocol for isoprostanes and to develop a new product which later can be used to identify new biomarkers at an early stage of inflammation for clinical use in humans. This project will establish a strong bond between Swedish and Chinese companies, as well as Umeå University in Sweden.
Förväntade effekter och resultat
The programme will promote translation of basic research into market-orientated technologies. The expected outcome is to develop a new diagnostic tool related to oxidative stress in early diagnosis of inflammatory diseases. We intend to accomplish a new pilot product for isoprostane analysis which could be validated and used for early disease diagnosis in humans in the near future. The applicant will also benefit from the international collaboration and to be qualified for future career.
Planerat upplägg och genomförande
The 2.5 year program will be run in half-half work schedule between China and Sweden. The collaboration builds on already established parnerships between researchs and companies in developing a newly robust method for detecting important biomarkers of inflammatory conditions at early stage, which try to alleviate the economic burden for the Swedish and Chinese public.
