Viktiga resultat som projektet gav
The project Robust & Individuell IT för gråa pantrar is seeking to develop and demonstrate a proactive safety system (PSS) that can detect and warn of accidents or precursors of accidents in the home environment. Early, reliable detection coupled with a decision support system, ensures robust information and alerts about the situation to an auxiliary service provider. The system is intended to complement, rather than replace, the presence of human companionship and the security such companionship provides.
Långsiktiga effekter som förväntas
New non-invasive sensors, nanotechnology and biosensors open up new possibilities within monitoring. The Robust & Individuell IT för gråa pantrar-Project has identified sensors and networking technology solutions possible to integrate today into a Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN). The proposed system collects fuses and presents data for the intended user. Information emerging from the bio sensor network can be communicated through communication channels to a decision support system improving elderlys security with the suggested supporting systems and services.
Upplägg och genomförande
A user needs-centered process has been used to build a concept of body-centered networked biosensors that contributes to a safer and more secure accommodation and care environment for the elderly. The work has been divided in two main work groups User Needs and Technical solutions. The user needs were first identified in an interview study and the corresponding state of the art technical solutions were then investigated. Finally a proposed solution was developed.
