|Koordinator||Lunds universitet - Ekonomihögskolan vid Lunds universitet|
|Bidrag från Vinnova||780 000 kronor|
|Projektets löptid||november 2017 - augusti 2019|
Syfte och mål
The purpose of this project is to develop and disseminate actionable advice on how to manage inter-organizational partnerships for innovation. We address three interrelated issues. Measurement of “soft” dimensions to “hard” dimensions when identifying and evaluating potential R&D partners. Management of the external and internal change process when transforming supplier relationships from arm’s length to embedded R&D partnerships. Building R&D partnerships that are resilient in the long term.
Förväntade effekter och resultat
After the project is completed, we will have a workshop module that is ready to be implemented in teaching programs at both the university and executive level. The establishment of R&D partnerships is a topic of relevance to a broad range of firms, including: (1) Startups, which often collaborate with more mature organizations. (2) Industrial R&D organizations and consumer goods companies, which often rely on suppliers for new product development. (4) Banks and insurance companies, which rely on third-party solutions and in innovative product offerings.
Planerat upplägg och genomförande
1) We will gather a focus group, involving 5-10 practitioners who are interested in and have experience from managing R&D partnership. We will organize workshops, where we present findings from the initial study and use participant feedback to develop these results further. 2)The main project activity is the actual development of a teaching module. This includes detailing the content of the workshop syllabus as well as the writing workshop material such as teaching cases and presentation material. 3) We will disseminate our results through open lectures and seminars.
