Syfte och mål

The GesTech Project proposed a unique 3D hand tracking and gesture recognition technology that supports fast, accurate and effective hands-free interaction with smart devices. This technology has significant interest from mobile hardware/software companies in various application domains such as AR/VR/MR, robotics, and consumer electronics. The main objective of this project was to validate and adapt the development of gesture technology into world-leading products and services with largest players in mobile hardware and software industries.

Resultat och förväntade effekter

- Analysis and validation of the requirements with industrial players and adapting the development of the gesture technology accordingly. - Align the development of gesture technology with the technical requirements of major AR/VR/MR platforms, hardware manufacturers, and specific application domains. - Perform deep analysis and performance measurement of the gesture technology to meet the requirements of major industrial players. - Deep analysis of the usability of the designed framework and gesture solution with external users.

Upplägg och genomförande

- Working closely with major players in mobile AR/VR/MR and hardware manufacturers in mobile industry. - Align the developments of the technology with the technical requirements of the industry. - Test and validate the technology with users of smart devices. - Showcasing the developments of gesture technology to major players and exhibiting at top-tier technology conferences to receive feedback from experts.
