Syfte och mål
The goal is to develop methods for sub-.scale demonstrator and control law Affordable sub-scale demonstrator will be a complement to computer models in order to reduce risk and allow earlier concept validation and technology exploration. Another important contribution is the international collaboration between Sweden and Brazil through LiU and Brazilian Universities with industrial support on both sides. This project provides possibilities to incorporate several relevant disciplines and future project in aeronautical engineering around a flying demonstrator.
Förväntade effekter och resultat
Benefits to Sweden and Brazil in this cooperation are a joint knowledge in transforming concepts to verification via subscale models that enables: New path to full scale demonstrator by bridging TRL gap between TRL 4 to TRL6-7 in order to accelerate the ´TRL oblique wave´ Increasing collaboration between industries, universities and research institutes. Cost reduction of full scale demonstrator by earlier integration of new technologies in a non-lab environment Shows that Brazil and Sweden can realise a common subscale demonstrator program in a cost efficient way
Planerat upplägg och genomförande
The project will have separate organization in Sweden and Brazil, Prof. P. Krus will act as a direct link between both projects through his Professorship at ITA and handle the dependency between work packages. A central part of the work is to produce relevant test data in order to realise and validate developed methods and enable control laws implementation and testing, requiring a well coordinate delivery of results from both countries. For the Swedish part LiU will develop methods, test data and control laws strategy, Saab will provide expertise, industrial knowledge and evaluation.
