Viktiga resultat som projektet gav
The goal of the project was to plan a project for the development of a next-generation biosensor platform for tropical disease detection. The goal was achieved by attending a meeting in Brazil, moreover, Vinnova´s support was helpful to initiate the joint development of the planned sensor. All partners contributed with their technology and expertise. Additionally, we identified other areas of potential collaboration for future applications, for instance, a sensing platform for the detection of Covid19.
Långsiktiga effekter som förväntas
The main results are the design of a plan for the development of a next-generation platform for the detection of viruses responsible for tropical diseases. The platform is currently under development combining technology and expertise from AligND Systems, AdvaGen, and RISE.
Upplägg och genomförande
The planning phase of the project consisted of a face-to-face meeting in Brazil as well as communications by email and teleconferences. During the planning phase, the partners developed a project plan for the development of a lateral-flow assay sensor for the detection of dengue virus and strategy for funding a future development project.
