Viktiga resultat som projektet gav
The TIP system innovation project, in 2013-14 defined the basic concepts in order to improve policy makers´ understanding of the system innovation concept as a tool for orienting innovation policy and decision making.
Långsiktiga effekter som förväntas
The report found that effective system innovation raises formidable policy and management challenges but that technology alone will not be sufficient to overcome the barriers to transitions: innovation policies must be adapted to specific contexts and aligned/co-ordinated with policies in other areas and with strong political leadership. At the same time the case-studies illustrated that policy makers are coping with these challenges in new ways, involving new stakeholder alliances

Case studies show how system innovation approaches can be designed and implemented. Implementation can only take place in specific sectors/areas.
