Viktiga resultat som projektet gav
The goal is to define needs for achieving an optimal working environment for female drivers and thereby giving a better working place for all drivers and a competitive advantage for Volvo Group Trucks and their customers. We have identified items to be looked at in further AE work within Volvo Group Trucks.
Långsiktiga effekter som förväntas
Important areas from the drivers/user perspectives have been defined. Gaps of knowledge and needed work have been defined. In short: * Women do not have the same sitting posture as men, ergonomics are important * There are business potentials looking into merchandise for the women truck drivers * There are possibilities also with accessories to be looked into * Feeling safe, secure at truck-stops is very important * Easy to find a clean toilet and shower is as important
Upplägg och genomförande
Internal as well as external findings were gathered. We looked into future possibilities driving the needs of the emerging amount of female truck drivers by interviewing teachers at schools as well as interviews with women drivers. Additionally two internal workshops were done pinpointing needs for the female truck drivers. The first workshop focused on summarising the already done work and to get an overview of planned activities within Volvo. The second workshop focused on findings from the interviews and continued dialogue with market and sales areas.
