Viktiga resultat som projektet gav
We fulfilled the goals of this project: 1) to enable the sharing of Open/User Innovation research by Prof Stephen Flowers, Univ of Kent, and 2) to develop a research program with SSE and Karlstad University.
Långsiktiga effekter som förväntas
Several new networking relationships have been created between Prof Flowers and researchers at KTH, SSE, and Karlstad University. Projects have been discussed and initiated. For example, Prof Flowers will serve as opponent at a PhD defense at SSE. Additionally, Prof Flowers developed 1) with SSE colleagues an idea for a practitioner book on open and user innovation and 2) with Karstad colleagues a paper on value creation and the application of resources within the different forms of users. Prof Flowers presented the working paper at the Open & User Innovation Conf at Harvard in Aug 2016.
Upplägg och genomförande
Our project involved two stages: 1) interactive sessions with researchers from SSE, KTH, and Karlstad University during which Prof Flowers shared his research on user-firm collaborations, how new products and services emerge, and the role played by users and emerging novel business models, 2) a workshop to identify research issues related to open and user innovation.
