Collaborative Centre for Applied AI with the University of Edinburgh to attract AI talents to Sweden

Purpose of the project was set as developing a strong pipeline of talented international engineers and scientists w ho have a strong background in data science and artificial intelligence to Sweden. Short term implementation w ill be to sponsor research students and define the research projects that can be of relevance to be applied to business in the use of AI.

Managed to sponsor 3 research topics internships and work with 3 universities in this project. 1. University of edinbugh , UK 2. University of capetown , South Africa 3. KTH Sweden Worked very close with University of edinbugh and reserchers amd master students got Access to SONY latest technologies as well as business use case. Researchers are likely to be absorbed into swedish companies. Multiple workshops conducted between university of edinburgh to expose the comepetence of each other and SONY internal researchers participated in University seminars to teach students

Upplägg och genomförande

Counter parts and supervisors form SONY and Universities had planned the activities and breakdown and expected result well before start of the project. SONY Acouted and Identified internally the research topics and announced both throgh company portal as well as through university process. Steering group and workshops were planned at regular intervals.
