Purpose and goal
The purpose was to create a platform during a 24-hour innovation competition where green ideas would be created and developed into scalable companies that drive society in a more sustainable direction. During the event, 70 participants together created 20 ideas. From the participation survey, we discovered that the participants were very satisfied with the event, as we were too. 87% gave 5 or 6 (39%) of max 6 in general grade to the event. We will continue to support the winning team and have had many ideas on how the event can be improved.
Expected results and effects
Four contributions stood out and we will follow them with interest. 91% of participants indicated that the event contributed to their development, which may be considered a good result for the pilot event. However, the greatest value created in addition to the connections that were made, was the learnings as organisers and the pleasure of organising this type of activity.
Planned approach and implementation
24 hours were too short for the kind of event we wanted to organise; including team building, inspirational talks, workshops and finally a hackathon. 48 hours had been better, allowing more sleep for the participants and probably even better results.
