Project duration March 2019 - September 2019
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The aim of the project was to ensure that Nordish Market is adapted to the behavior of our target customers and thus be ready for a wider launch during Q3 2019. We have met the target and launched the service www.nordishmarket.com on a broad front during Q2 2019. To ensure that the service meets our customers´ requirements, we conducted in-depth interviews and customer-driven development together with 20 corporate customers. These interviews have been important for designing the service as it looks today, but also for understanding future development potential.

Expected results and effects

The outcome has been very successful where we followed the project plan and during the period launched the service Nordish Market in Gothenburg. More than 140 corporate customers around Gothenburg have already ordered sustainable food to their offices. At present, three different kitchens are connected to Nordish Market - our own kitchen Nordish Kitchen, as well as Beets and Roots Café. For every dish a customer eats, they make a contribution to the environment as Nordish Kitchens dishes consist of locally grown, organic ingredients and saved food waste from Coop´s grocery stores.

Planned approach and implementation

During the development project, we let 20 of our existing corporate customers test and evaluate the service. Thereafter, a period began where we, with the help of feedback and lessons, completed the service so that it was ready to be launched on a wider front during Q2 2019. In the new service we have integrated external food concepts, so an equally important part was to evaluate the collaboration with them. Key issues were how the technical and logistical integration works, and how we guarantee delivery security to customers when we synchronize food from several players at the same time.
