Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project has been to develop a prototype of an anesthesia platform with the look and feel of a finished product to be used for feedback from prospective customers, for feedback on regulatory compliance and IPR and to serve as a demonstrator for external investors at the company´s capital raising. These objectives have been met with good results.

Expected results and effects

A prototype with a look of a finished product has been developed and presented to potential customers and regulatory expertise with clear acceptance of the product concept as a result and also qualitative feedback which led to increased product functionality. Contacts with IPR lawyers have led to in-depth insights into the product´s IPR needs/possibilities. As a result of the external investor contacts during the project, a first rights issue has been executed, in which the company has been allocated an external capital contribution. Overall, the project surpasses our expectations.

Planned approach and implementation

The project was carried out mainly according to plan. Great emphasis was placed on continuous risk minimization, which meant that the project proceeded without major surprises. The extension of the scope of the project in the form of expanded product functionality did not significantly affect the project´s implementation. The main focus of the project has been CAD design, 3D printing of plastic parts and machining of metal parts, evaluation of a large number of COTS & OEM components, supplier assessments and a large number of external meetings.
