Important results from the project

Innovative and stylish sun protective clothing has been developed in collaboration with people from the target group, dermatologist, designer and pattern maker to achieve optimal protection combined with style and fit. The garments have been verified through focus groups with our target group as well as with dermatologists. The demand has been confirmed and the response has been very positive. Collaborations have been initiated, including patient organizations as well as retailers such as NK. Production options have been evaluated and established, and the process works very well.

Expected long term effects

The project has been implemented according to plan. Stable production processes have been built and 10 new and innovative garments have been developed and validated. The new stylish sun protective clothing has been adapted to be worn in everyday life and are available for all ages. People from the target group have verified that there is a great need for sun protective clothing that looks like an ordinary fashionable garment. The project has confirmed to us that we can help a lot of people to a better life and do good for society by working preventively against skin cancer.

Approach and implementation

By consulting professionals in different areas of expertise and meeting potential customers, high quality sun protective garments have been developed. Methods such as surveys and focus groups have been used to efficiently collect feedback from potential customers and dermatologists. We have collaborated with several organizations, patient organizations and companies to jointly reach out and inform the relevant target group on the risks of the sun and the availability of our products - since they help people to protect themselves in a simple and stylish way.
