Purpose and goal
Our vision is to provide all patients with chronic pain access to person-centered, evidence-based care by 2030. Chronic pain is complex and its treatment is resource-intensive, which primary care´s resources and structure cannot meet today. Through collaboration between universities, patient organizations and healthcare providers, we want to develop digital tools in combination with traditional care solutions to contribute to an economically, structurally and organizationally sustainable solution.
Expected results and effects
The project will result in an action plan with a developed vision, interim goals and concrete project plans, clearly rooted in users and care professionals. The collaborative form, developed within the project, will after the completed planning project continue to work on realizing the vision. Our ambition is to put focus on chronic pain in primary care and to be a catalyst for multidisciplinary collaboration and openness for modern visionary solutions.
Planned approach and implementation
The work is conducted through active collaboration between actors in research, care and patient groups, but also parties from areas usually different from healthcare. Three major activities in the form of workshops will be organized during the project, with different focuses: 1) users and relatives, 2) care professionals and 3) wide gathering around the challenge of chronic pain in primary care.
