Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project was to give the prosthetic user a possibility to change prosthetic with the help of a safe and quick Change Adapter. The product Xtend Connect is now CE-marked and launched and is now being launched on all of Lindhe Xtend´s markets.
Expected results and effects
Xtend Connect will positively contribute to the sales of Lindhe Xtend already in 2019.
Planned approach and implementation
The project was divided in three work packages: AP1: Contruction phase. Several prototypes were looped in order to achieve the best solution. Final construction drawings were made for five different variants in order to achieve a high flexibility in usage. AP2: User verification and validation. The product was verified and validated according to a pre-set protocol in order to assure product safety but also user-friendliness. AP3: Intellectual property. A broad patent application was developed that gives the company a good protection of the uniqueness of the Construction.
