Important results from the project
The aim of the project is to develop and establish a new kind of service for describing and communicating urban activity levels. The service can be used as a basis for allocation of resources in communication and transport systems, but also function as input to control systems (e.g. traffic control) and as decision support for service providers. A simplified description is that the service provides a very well developed urban activity forecast which also contains information on underlying factors which allows for a more precise use of the service.
