Purpose and goal
The purpose of the trip was to establish contact with world-leading partners for future collaborative projects through networks and meetings. The purpose of the trip is considered well met. Contact and meetings with key people have been conducted and there should be a good foundation for continued research in the context of the Health Announcement in Horizon 2020. Most importantly, developing effective methods of handling contaminated personnel and equipment exposed to adverse and foreign particles from incomplete combustion of unknown fuel.
Expected results and effects
The results of the participation is in-depth and adequate contacts that are relevant for research and development of new methods and products. There is a good foundation for continued health research in the field of "Firefighter´s Health", in the context of Horizon 2020. A number of relevant contacts could be linked during the conference and proposals for new collaborative projects were initiated. Ongoing contact with new partners has been held after the trip.
Planned approach and implementation
The planning and implementation of the trip has been carried out largely as expected. There was some uncertainty in the degree of interest of potential partners based on an unclear assessment of end customers´ interest in new products and working methods. It turned out that there was very much interest. The time for exchange in the form of concrete research planning was limited, but there was genuine interest as well as good conditions for further in-depth cooperation.
