Purpose and goal

The fundamental objective of the Swedish House of Finance is: *To create a hub for strengthening financial research in Sweden *To assemble strength and obtain benefits of scale that enable future expansion *To share positive external effects with the private, public and academic sectors in Sweden.

Expected results and effects

Swedish House of Finance have after six years established itself as one of the leading research institutions in Europe. The center offers a course program for PhD students in finance open for all Swedish finance PhD students, a data center that collects, processes and publishes Swedish financial data available to all Swedish academics, and organizes seminars, workshops and conferences on current topics targeted towards both academic and decision makers in the Swedish financial sector.

Planned approach and implementation

Since 2014, we have: *Increased the productivity of our researchers and the quality of our research output. *Arranged over 200 seminars, conferences and workshops for researchers and practitioners. *Re-structured our organization and simplified our brand to provide clearer communication and more stream-lined administration. *Successfully achieved our goal of obtaining funding pledges from the private sector. *Set up a new platform for our Research Data Center, which now allow s access to all academic researchers registered at Swedish universities.
