Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project is for the municipalities of Skaraborg to receive knowledge and support in further developing ideas and innovations in collaboration by establishing a common innovation hub. The project will create structures and organizational culture that take advantage of digitalisation´s opportunities for increased Through a platform, more ideas can be realized as the cost of developing a idea for an innovation can be shared or shared by several municipalities. The project ensures that the same idea is not further developed in several municipalities at the same time.
Expected results and effects
A process for receiving ideas has been established as well as structures, tools, knowledge and processes in our municipalities in order to continue to work systematically with innovation issues. A management plan for continued operation of the project (after project financing) has been produced and presented to Skaraborg´s 15 municipal directors. Due to the economic situation that many municipalities face, the municipalities chose not to continue financing an innovation hub. But the work is done and the structures are there, so in the future this may be taken up for decision again.
Planned approach and implementation
A first step for the project was to create networks with the municipalities through the appointment of sub-project managers, the project´s extended arm in the municipalities. This through meetings and training. The sub-project leaders have acted as contact points and recipients of ideas in the municipalities, but also as ambassadors for the regional innovation hub - Skaraborgs Innovationssluss. Managers / leaders, who create the conditions for their employees to work with innovations, have undergone innovation leadership training. A digital tool for receiving ideas has been established.
