Important results from the project
The aim was to create conditions for a joint application between the SLU Alnarp project The Alnarp Model, Sustainable Business Hub and Lund University for the development of a common VinnGrowth environment within urban supply systems, which have been met by an application submitted. The processes within the VinnGrowth environment will be based on advanced forms of interaction as the Alnarp model where university, industry and local and regional authorities jointly creates resources for the development and outflows and inflows of knowledge for innovation development.
Expected long term effects
There is an international demand for solutions that replace fossil fuels with renewable energy, and solutions that reuse resources, i.e. waste heat. There is also demand for solutions that lead to energy efficiency and solutions that purify and recycle water. Swedish environmental technology and knowledge in urban development is a world leader but to meet international demands, companies need to be supplied with increased knowledge to enhance innovation and product development speed.
Approach and implementation
The planning project consisted of a number of workshops in different fields of application and to develop the interaction model. A large part of the project process was direct towards merging the group with SLU Alnarp and the other two by Vinnova designated partners SB Hub and Lund University to create a common platform for the coming VinnGrowth environment. The platform was then used to create a strong regional consortium and defining the strongest common areas for innovation. The process has been successful and made it possible to create regional consensus and mobilization.
