Purpose and goal

To develop a couse concept and produce the content for a course focused at clinical trial methodology. The goal implement the course on a long term basis. The course should provide the participant with a increased general knowledge of clinical research, ethics, statistics, and study design. The course is offered as an commissioned education, is web based, and given in both Swedish and English language. Primarly it is focused to attract medical doctors and nurses.

Expected results and effects

The expected result is an officially announced course, complete course material, and a pilot. The effects should include enhenced ability and interest to participate in or lead a clinical trial (based on the participants).

Planned approach and implementation

Based on the experience and knowledge on how implement distance based education in combination of specific knowledge of clinical trial methodology, a course consisting of 16 lectures has been developed. Lectures, examinations etcetera are all accessed via the webbased plattform with a userfriendly interface. This makes the course easy accessible for the participants.
