Purpose and goal

The aim of the proposed project is to define the ongoing and continuing research and innovation processes in the Gothenburg region concerning sustainable city transports. The main aim is the definition of each partner´s commitment; what the OEM´s, the suppliers, hauliers and the city or region will be engaged in - and in what extent. Interesting concepts will be evaluated in a large demonstration project. Furthermore, suggestions for an enhanced innovation system will be elaborated - key to the future solutions to be tested and evaluated in the future.

Results and expected effects

The project will work on improved person and goods transport systems for a sustainable urban development. The project will: --define and make the vision clear and fathomable for the partners: ´Vision Transport Solutions 2020´ --aid in the future city planning and infrastructure development --develop safe and secure efficient vehicles, fuels, and mobility services --launch a number of demonstration projects --Set demands on policies and regulations will be analysed

Approach and implementation

The project will be run in an open innovation process and be carried out by a number of partners in a cluster that will be defined early in the project. This cluster of partners in the innovation process will be open for both national and international participants, and will be formed around the centre of innovation at the Lindholmen Science Park. The consortium of partners will be refined and developed during the time frame of the project.
