Project duration December 2017 - August 2018
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The project’s overall objective has been to integrate Agenda 2030 into Paper Province and its work with businesses. The project’s aim to establish an overall picture of how the cluster contributes towards the SDGs has been accomplished. Tools for the everyday work in relation to the SDGs and a foundation for integrating the SDGs into the cluster’s strategy ahve been produced. Additionally, the needs of businesses has been studied, in order to establish how we can contribute towards strengthening their SDG-related work.

Expected results and effects

Effects: - The project has increased the cluster’s awareness of the 2030 Agenda and integrated the Agenda into both the strategic and operational workings of the cluster. - The number of responses from the companies were few, possibly due to GDPR coming into effect. Increased awareness of the SDGs in the companies is therefore unclear. Results: The goals that Paper Province contribute towards have been identified, and these are now interlinked to PP’s strategy. Tools (ie checklists, communication recommendations, a matrix for applying the goals) have been drafted.

Planned approach and implementation

Cluster management: - Relevant goals and actions have been identified and specified - Paper Province´s strategy has been screened and material to support an update produced - Working methods for communication have been updated and the website supplemented Businesses - Some knowledge about the goals has been identified and specified - A direction for Paper Province’s continued work with the companies re. the SDGs has been devised
