Funding from Vinnova SEK 300 000
Project duration December 2016 - December 2017
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

Strong Innovation has through the project, established itself in the market and determined customer needs. - The product is displayed with a simple and current website. Information is available in English and is shown with pictures and references. - The product has been presented to presumptuous customers at MEDICA in Düsseldorf and the congresses in Lisbon and Oxford and at hospitals in Uppsala, Gothenburg, Stockholm and Toronto. The project has helped the company within five years to sell products for more than SEK 20 million and have at least 10 employees.

Expected results and effects

Through the project, we know that there is a need, a willingness to buy and purchasing power for the product in an international market. Our products have received international attention and we receive direct customer requests from Canada, the United States and Europe. During the project, we have been evaluating sales channels which led to collaboration with the dominant incubator manufacturer. We see a need for recruitment coming in 2018-2019.

Planned approach and implementation

Our engagement at fairs and congresses was made with support and help from Business Sweden, Bizmaker and MCA Scientific Event. The Congress “ESPNIC” in Lisbon provided new contacts with representatives from 20 countries. The Congress “Transport of High Risk Infant” in Oxford, England provided new contacts with representatives from a large number of countries as well as processing of existing contacts. The visits to hospitals, fairs and congresses that the project contributed has been vital to successfully penetrate an international market.
