Purpose and goal

The aim of this project is to give the projectleader, Dr. Ida-Maria Sintorn, the opportunity to merit herself academically and industrially in the field of virus image analysis. The meriting consists mostly of applied research, education and acquiring project leadership experience.

Results and expected effects

The project will establish a strong connection and provide the support for knowledge transfer between academia, Centre for Imag Analysis, and industry, Vironova AB, whose core technology relies on image analysis. For the project leader the project is expected to result in a Docent application, patents, several publications, and education and experience in leadership and management. All this is highly academically and industrially meriting.

Approach and implementation

The projectleader will be emplyed by the Centre for Image Analysis (CBA) but spend at least oned day a week at Vironova AB. At CBA she will supervise PhD students, participate in pedagogic and leadership courses, perform applied research, and publish scientific papers. At Vironova she will apply and implement new research methods, participate in and be responsible for customer projects, possibly write patents and getting hands on project leadership experience.
