Funding from Vinnova SEK 448 000
Project duration November 2018 - August 2019
Status Completed
Venture Challenge-Driven Innovation – Stage 1 initiation

Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project is to change the huge negative impact the fashion industry has on environment and people. The project has shown that it is possible to improve the situation significantly. The next step in the project is to implement the suggested business model and technology.

Expected results and effects

The positive results from this project, and from the project Streamateria Virtual Gateway, motivate the team behind Steamateria to take a step further towards the overall longterm goal. Preparations have been made to enter into UDI 2 by forging relations and partnerships, to test the idea, material, business model and value chain.

Planned approach and implementation

Guringo Design Studio has been the project manager for this project. The project has been divided into two workpackages. WP1, businessplan and model, managed by Wargön Innovation, with the purpose to develop a strategy, system description and business plan. WP2, screening LCA, executed by RISE IVF with the purpose to evaluate and assess the benefits for the environment with the proposed system- and material solution. Input for the screening LCA has been material developed in previous projects, but further developed in this project.
