Purpose and goal

The purpose of this planning project is to establish a successful, long-term collaboration between Linköping University and one of the most prominent international R&I company in the field of organic electronics. The project aims to develop new products and processes that will make electronics more functional, accessible, and sustainable. It also represents an essential qualification step of the applicant´s career development.

Results and expected effects

The planning project is expected to have a major impact in several areas. The main outcome is the strengthening of the applicant´s competence and network within the organic electronics industry, as well as the establishment of important contacts between Linköping University and a global electronics company. The visit resulted in the preparation and submission of a long-term, successful collaborative project with the ultimate goal of enabling sustainable low-cost organic electronics. This will also be a unique specialization step for the applicant.

Approach and implementation

The visit was carried out according to plan and consisted of work meetings with the company chief scientific officer and the R&D scientists. Feasibility of the proposed collaborative project, as well as prospects of active support given by the company to the project manager were in focus of the discussion. The company also appointed a research assistant to work on the joint project.
