Important results from the project
With Stadsbruk, we create a new type of green entrepreneurship through urban farming. In the pre-study we have worked with three other European cities, Zurich, Bergen and Frederiksberg. Based on the study, we will apply for a common project application where we hope to implement Stadsbruk in those international cities.
Expected long term effects
The pre-study has allowed us to map the need of the cities, create interest and give knowledge about Stadsbruk that made cities wanting to develop Stadsbruk in the future. The pre-study has led us to agreeing on making a new application together to continue our work. The effect is that the Stadsbruk method spreads internationally, giving Sweden a new export product and cities a way to increase their share of ecological farming that is both economically and ecologically sustainable.
Approach and implementation
In the pre-study, we have focused on creating contacts and analysis of cities that are interested in Stadsbruk. Through study visits, workshop in those cities, dialogue with city servants and politicians, we have been able to analyze the need of every city. From this we did a proposal for our services and educations that Stadsbruk can offer. In the project we have identified other possible partnerships and found two additional cities that wish to participate in a future project.
