Important results from the project

The project has the aim of -contributing to knowledge about how patient can be involved in health care service innovations -contributing to an increased understanding of how the project-involved services can be organized in order to support innovations derived from patients -contributing to the development and dissemination of models for service innovations in health care systems -delivering an idea data base of evaluated ideas from patients

Expected long term effects

The project is expected to generate the following results: -Developed services in the participating organizations -Methods and principles for the development of health care services -A data base of ideas from patients that can be exploited among health care services -Ideas for new health care services -Enhancing the role of the patient -Patient diary methodology with focus on developing services

Approach and implementation

The project uses an interactive collaborative research methodology framework. There are two important research activities: 1) collection, analysis and interpretation of patient information using patient diaries 2) communication of patient information to management of health care services.
