Funding from Vinnova SEK 400 000
Project duration June 2013 - May 2014
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The project aims to develop processes for collaboration, especially for SLU collaborations lecturers. The results should however be implemented within the overall SLU collaboration and extension work. The subprojects are developing processes in collaboration with; natural resource management secondary schools in Sweden, SLU´s undergraduate students, researchers / teachers at SLU and other Swedish universities. Process development has occurred in three of the above categories and has also resulted in proposals for further development of the processes.

Results and expected effects

The pilot study has led to an increased number of contacts between SLU and natural resource management secondary schools, as well as with other Swedish universities. The strong interest in interactions between SLU undergraduates and collaboration lecturers is an opportunity to develop this collaboration further. These two activities creates the conditions to attract more students to SLU. During their studies they will have more opportunities for close contacts and an improved understanding of the sector in which they will spend their professional life.

Approach and implementation

The project set-up was relatively simple and feasible in a short time. One planned activity was not carried out due to lack of time. Conduction of the project has been successful and all implemented activities have led to suggestions for further development of processes, which also was the purpose of the project.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
