Purpose and goal

The purpose to develop practical & theoretical knowledge about financiers work processes for accomplishing gender awareness and equality in distribution of finance in line with the gender equality policy has been reached through identification and visualization of; gender constructions in the financiers decision processes and consequences from this; entrepreneurs own construction of potential and financial indications of venture potential. A practical applicable model is developed in collaboration with partners. Findings are integrated in practical equality work.

Results and expected effects

Increased gender awareness through competence development at individual, group, organization, region, national and international level by disseminating project results via conferences, workshops, reports, articles. The results have been integrated in the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth´ strategy and have been disseminated nationally for implementation at governmental financiers and nationally/internationally among policy makers. Contributed to research on gender and finance.

Approach and implementation

Collaboration with the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, Norrbottens Läns Landsting (NLL), five governmental financier organizations and the reference group have been carried out. Work contained 1) identifying current work processes; 2) making gender structures transparent; 3) develop norm critical reflections for changing work processes; 4) develop activities for changing work processes and distribution of finance for equal and efficient support of growth; 5) dissemination.
