Project duration November 2017 - November 2018
Status Completed

Important results from the project

The purpose of Rabble Genius was to create "an innovative platform for time conscious and sustainable consumption". By having coded, beta-tested and beta-launched a large part of the functionality described in the project plan, we have met the set goals of the project. The beta launch has included a personal login with branding, store and product category coverage, push and email notifications based on coverage and guidance and attention on sustainable consumer spending options.

Expected long term effects

By beta-testing all fully developed parts of the project, we have gained a deeper understanding of how to design betas and the sharp launch of Rabble Genius. We expect to see how Rabble Genius contributes to a more efficient consumer market through increased transparency about price and sustainability, and that overconsumption can largely be avoided by consumers by better planning of their purchases.

Approach and implementation

After establishing a technical specification investigations were made of the market conditions for data collection and potential partnerships. Thereafter, the project design framework was developed in parallel with a legal investigation into intellectual property and GDPR compatibility. After user tests and partial beta releases, we formed the product after the feedback and knowledge gained. Finally we launched the features in the beta-environment to a limited number of consumers and thereafter did a sharp release to all users of selected features.
