Purpose and goal

Results and expected effects

The project VINN-verifiering has brought ECD one step closer commercialization, which is very important due to that the concepts Internet of Things and Industry 4.0 are making progress. They will enable new applications within distributed diagnostics, packaging and manufacturing; applications that in many cases will require some kind of visual indicator. ECD is therefore an important component that will be included in many kinds of smart labels in the future, and it is therefore very important for Sweden to keep its strong position within Printed Electronics.

Approach and implementation

The project VINN-verifiering has been carried out in dialogue with VINNOVA (Tony Friede). One of the strongest requirements from VINNOVA has been to identify an entrepreneur, a requirement that successfully was achieved during the second half of the project. This person is now employed as a Sales Manager at the department of Printed Electronics at Acreo and is responsible for the activities related to the commercialization of ECD. Furthermore, the project is considered to have fulfilled the major part of the Milestones that were established in the project plans of the respective phase.
