Purpose and goal
The aim was to further develop and test the methods used in DigiMode Passion for Fashion within Science Park Borås innovation environment. The goal was to develop a well-functioning method & a clear goal for how we should work to best benefit young people´s innovative power. We have done this through two test pilots, participated in method training for entrepreneurship and developed a methodbook. We have good prospects for developing an innovation hub that enable young people´s innovation power through passion and supports new collaborations for a sustainable and circular society.
Expected results and effects
We have conducted two test pilots/hackathons where we have captured and supported young entrepreneurship for sustainable development through passion. One focusing on Textile "Circular Textile Initiative" and one focusing on sustainable urban development "Hack the City". Many exciting ideas have been developed that contribute to solutions for a sustainable & circular society. The methodology has worked well and our experiences are gathered in a simple method book available to others who want to use it. The method will continue to be applied and developed within Science Park Borås.
Planned approach and implementation
We started by deepening the studies on the methods. Then the work went on in a test period. We searched relevant partners and designed, planned and conducted the test pilots. The project was concluded with a summary of experiences in a simple method book. Our experience is that the methodology is successful in engaging young people and generating ideas, but requires solid preparation together with current partners before the hackathon. To contribute to passion, it is important that the outline is clear and provides a creative, inspiring atmosphere.
