Purpose and goal
To prove the usefulness of Mode Based Defnetion together with a new standard regarding GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Automated GD&T as well as tollerance analysis of AM-manufactored metallic details.
Expected results and effects
Fully automated quality control that is repeatable and operator-independent in AM manufacturing.
Planned approach and implementation
The project aims at AM manufacturing of an advanced machine fixtures. Our part of the project is about automated quilting control. The requirement is made in the design phase, quality control is done with 3D scanning in robot-controlled measuring cells
