Purpose and goal
The project aims to aid agencies and procures in defining stricter requirements for noise reduction on rock crushing sites to facilitate their localization closer to construction sites while at the same time protecting neighbours of the crushing sites. The specific aims of the project was met in that four solutions which all involve procurement requirements and knowledge transfer were identified. A further aim was met when a constellation of organisations representing all key actors in the value chain was created: procurers, builders, environmental agencies and consultancies.
Expected results and effects
The project resulted in a clarification and extension of the suggested solutions and to a concretization of the plans for two demonstration sites, in Stockholm and Tyresö municipalities. Relevant organisations have been asked to take part in a step 2 project and a clearer picture of their needs was painted. At the same time the technical conditions for the identified solutions have been studied and clarified.
Planned approach and implementation
A mapping of relevant actors was made in the beginning of the project and was subsequently refined during project partner meetings. The mapping helped connect identified solutions with drivers for different actors and thereby be clarifying them. This led to one of our identified solutions being divided into two since it aimed at two different groups of actors with different needs. The other solutions could also be made more distinct while also being complemented with technical analyses and interview studies.
