Purpose and goal
Within the automotive industry an increased use of advanced high strength steel is clear. New materials for sheet metal forming have unfortunately the drawback of increasing the wear on the press tools. This has motivated the development of tool die surfaces that increase the performance of the tools. Within the project a new method for finishing of the tool die surfaces using high-pressurized waterjet will be developed and tested.
