Purpose and goal

Diabetes Samverkan Sverige (DSS) - Diabetes Partnership of Sweden aims for increasing the power of innovation within the diabetes area on a national level through a systematic approach of bringing relevant stakeholders together. DSS is now established with regional nodes, South, West, East and North. The number of participating organizations and feed back from participants confirm that the Project has achived its goals and reached its purposes. A number of new relationships have been established during the year.

Expected results and effects

Around 135 persons from different disciplines and approximately 45 organizations have during 2017 actively participated in the seven meetings arranged by the network. A total of 70 organizations including 158 persons are now connected to DSS. A Communication platform has been established. In a quantitative survey, the participants rated the question - if the meetings and activities by DSS contribute to an increased level of exchange of knowledge and information - at 4,0 out of 5, meaning "to a high degree". Further collaborations between the participants are highly probable.

Planned approach and implementation

The Project has been conducted through a web-based Communication platform and systematically arranged meetings, regionally and nationally in addition to handing out knowledge and infomation after the meetings. The regional nodes (South, West, East and North) have contributed to a systematic structure, yet securing a national perspective.
