Project duration July 2014 - December 2014
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project was to develop a digital platform, also a fully functional computer program for basic education in everyday computer skills. The program was to be compatible for the, until then, main target Group (elderly) and non Swedish speakers and hearing impaired, whom haven´t until now been able to assimilate conventional computer education in Sweden. The program was also supposed to contain a bank of exercises which were to be given an extra value to costumers and also as an opportunity for sales.

Results and expected effects

We are very happy with the results of the project. We have accomplished to ready a certain amount of exercises which costumers from every target group are able to assimilate. It is, within the Swedish education, revolutionary that everybody, no matter earlier knowledge with the area nor former skills, to get through a basic computer education. Now we have a platform to keep on buid upon to further facilitate our education in the future to give our costumers a better service.

Approach and implementation

The layup consisted of a thorough analysis of how the target groups considered the problem and our solutions to them. They consisted of depth conversations with individuals from the target groups which were to be the foundation of the further building of the program. Thereafter we wrote a script for the programmers to work with develooping the digital platform. Now the only remaining part is to fully integrate the digital solution to our regular courses within basic computer education.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
