Purpose and goal

The purpose of the trip is to get a better understanding of Chinese conditions w ith regard to AI development, specifically strategies and challenges regarding implementation and clinical utilization. Specific goals w ith the trip are to meet and discuss w ith Chinese ealthcare providers and healthcare decision makers as w ell as companies that develop AI decision support for healthcare in the various regions visited. The trip was successful, many relevant clinical and research institutions were visited generating better knowledge and potential future collaborations.

Expected results and effects

Expected results from the trip are increased know ledge of the Chinese conditions, and stage of development, and possibly identification of potential future healthcare collaboration partners. The expected effects are collaborations for the exchange of know ledge and information and potentially common global development projects in the field, w hich can further enhance the attractiveness of Karolinska / SLL and Sw eden as partner for small and large companies for AI development and implementation. The trip generated many potential leads for future collaborations.

Planned approach and implementation

The plan is to follow VINNOVA´s program with some additional meetings and visits with Chinese healthcare providers and organizations in the different regions.
