Venture The strategic innovation programme for Metallic material

Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project was to develop a concept for a common and impartial sender for positive communication about the metal industry that could increase its attractiveness as an employer. A proposal for a branding strategy has been developed, as well as a website. The strategy and other results from the project can be used in other initiatives to increase the attractiveness of the metal industry and in the industry´s efforts to reach young people.

Expected results and effects

Through the deeper analysis that has been done within the project, a proposal for a brand strategy for the metal industry has been developed, which can be used for other investments in the metal industry´s competence supply in the future. The project has also produced the website metallsidan.se that can be used and further developed to increase the attractiveness of the metal industry as an employer primarily for young people and thereby strengthen the brand for the industry.

Planned approach and implementation

The project´s approach was to develop a target group analysis and a strategy concept through a basic research and analysis work, in order to see how the industry best could reach young people and how the industry could increase its attractiveness as an employer. The project has produced a web page, a proposal for a brand strategy and a research report, all of which could help the metal industry to increase its attractiveness as an employer and to lift the investments made by the industry to attract the necessary skills.
