Purpose and goal
The purpose of the innovation project was to develop a platform that allows for a system offering for predictive maintenance, to utilize and automate the long field application skills that AJAB has. The goal was to develop an IoT sensor box ready for volume production and to refine our special monitoring method and calculation algorithms developed for more than 10 years. The goal has been met, with a commercial breakthrough, a first full-scale order and feedback, as well as confirmation from more customers.
Expected results and effects
The result is according to the work plan. The impact has been enormously positive, a large reference order as well as positive feedback from a group of potential customers. Once we launch the system, starting in 2019, we see good opportunities for more orders.
Planned approach and implementation
We have completed the plan, with work packages. Own experience of the three shareholders, in combination with employees and a strong supplier network, has enabled development work. At an early stage, we hired a large well-known technology development company, but then switched to a smaller supplier for a faster development process. Product development is at the forefront of IoT, which leads to delays.
